Molly gives some love
A black lab named Molly spends most every day at the Motley Staples Middle School, offering a friendly wag of her tail or a lick or two. She is a fully trained service dog owned by Ruth Tokarczyk, a special ed. teacher at MSMS. “I got her at Can Do Canines out of the Twin Cities,” Tokarczyk said, adding that Molly has offered assistance at the Motley school for the past seven years. “She is used in crisis situations,” Tokarczyk said. “Molly helps calm students down when necessary, gets their minds off of their problems.” Prior to their working in Motley, Tokarczyk and Molly were at Staples Elementary, where their time was spent with severely handicapped students.
