Motley June Fest parade route

The City of Motley’s June Fest Parade will take place Saturday, June 18, at 10 a.m. The parade route will follow 3rd Ave. So., beginning near the Motley United Methodist Church. It will then continue north for a few blocks, turning west on Main St. for one block and then returning south along 4th Ave. toward Industrial Park. As indicated by the above map, a number of barricades will be in place along the route; and a few areas have been designated ‘no parking’ zones during select times. Parade entries are still being accepted. Line-up at 9 a.m.  In addition to the parade, June Fest (sponsored by Staples Motley Area Chamber of Commerce) has a number of activities on its roster for Saturday, including a Classic Car Show, Wings Competition, pig races, live music, a street dance and fireworks. The event wraps up Sunday, June 19, from 1 - 3 p.m., with a gospel concert and ice cream social at Veterans Park.
