Motley Police, Morrison County Sheriff’s Department reports
Recent reports from the Motley Police Department (MPD) and the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) included the following:
Jan. 20 - The MPD assisted the MCSO with a school bus that had slid off the road into the ditch at 6472 Azalea Rd. in Motley. Ice was a factor. No injuries reported. A new bus arrived to take the students to Pillager School.
Jan. 24 - The MCSO responded to a report of an ex-employee at Two Tall Tavern in Cushing who was causing problems at the establishment. According to the report, the person who had been fired, had been asked to leave after he started drinking and was playing loud music and swearing. He refused to leave and became more uncooperative but eventually left the premises after his aunt came to pick him up. Later, the MCSO returned to Two Tall Tavern after learning that the subject was on foot in the area, had a knife and was walking back to the bar. They checked the area and stood by while all of the employees left. The MCSO learned later that the subject had been picked up in Motley.
