One dead following crash north of Motley
A Robbinsdale man is dead and another injured following a one-vehicle rollover crash June 27, two miles north of Motley on Hwy 64. The incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m.
According to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol, the driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Terrance Peterson, was traveling south on Hwy 64 when he lost control and entered the west ditch. The vehicle, a 1999 Mercury Mystique, rolled multiple times before coming to rest in the ditch.
Peterson’s passenger, Rayvon Whitfield, 23, of Robbinsdale was transported to Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol was determined to be a factor in the crash, the state patrol said. The Cass County and Morrison County Sheriff’s Offices assisted at the scene.
