Skate Park opening
A number of children (and at least one adult) from the Motley community enjoyed using the city’s new skate park June 4, during the kick-off celebration of the park. In addition, a number of prizes were given away during the event, including bikes, helmets and other skate board paraphernalia. The prizes had been donated by a number of local businesses and members of the community.
Members of the Motley Lions and Motley Park Committee served lunch to attendees at the recent kick-off celebration of the city’s new skate park, located on the west side of Converse Park. The meal was donated by Ted & Gen’s BBQ in Aldrich. Pictured above, Gary Nieken of Motley (front left) picks up his lunch. On the other side of the table, from left, are Lions Glen and Anita Sutton; and park committee members Gayle Quinn and Hillery Rubink, all of Motley.
