Three-year-old pulled from Lake Alexander released from hospital

A three-year-old boy who was pulled out of Lake Alexander on July 30 and airlifted to Children’s Hospital in the Twin Cities, is expected to make a full recovery. He was released from the hospital the afternoon of July 31.

According to their report, the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) had received a call at approximately 4:38 p.m. on July 30, regarding the boy. 

The report states that family and friends were playing on and around a water trampoline when the three-year-old went missing for a short period of time. Family members located him underneath the trampoline and initiated CPR.

When deputies arrived on the scene the boy was being tended to by first responders. He was subsequently airlifted to Children’s Hospital.

In their updated news release, the MCSO stated that the three-year-old was wearing his personal flotation device at the time of the incident. According to the boy’s family members, the child is expected to make a full recovery. Because of the active investigation, the boy’s name is being withheld.
