Community dance for Catholic Schools Week
A community dance will be held at Sacred Heart Area School in Staples on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m. This is one of several activities scheduled during Catholic Schools Week (CSW) which will be celebrated around the nation Jan. 29 - Feb. 4.
During CSW, Catholic schools will celebrate who and what they are in the form of worship, community service, activities and fun-themed days.
In addition to the community dance, which is open to the public, a number of other special activities are planned at Sacred Heart Area School for CSW. These include:
o Jan. 28 - Students will host the CSW kick-off mass at Sacred Heart Church in Staples, followed by a spaghetti dinner
o Jan. 29 - A kick-off mass will be held at St. Michael’s in Motley, followed by a pancake breakfast
o Jan. 30 - Dress up ‘Wacky Day’ at school and craft activity
o Jan. 31 - ‘Spirit Day’
o Feb. 1 - ‘Color Day’
o Feb. 2 - ‘Hat Day’
o Feb. 3 - ‘Pajama and Movie Day.’
Students and staff will also be reaching out to various community members during CSW, expressing gratitude and providing a service to them.
