Mixing technology with agriculture at the Central Lakes College Ag and Energy Center Field Day Aug. 26, kids at the AgCentric technology trailer look up as a mini-drone launches from the table. With the help of Staples-Motley FFA students, the kids were able to hook up a circuit board to power the plastic drone. Real drone demonstrations showed how agriculture uses the machines to check fields and make farm work more efficient. Meanwhile, the kids at the next table were planting seeds and looking down into the cup of dirt they were bringing home. See more Field Day photos on page 9a. (Staples World photo by Mark Anderson)
