Arrests for domestic assaults made
Recent reports into the Staples Police Dept. include:
Nov. 19; Staples Police responded to the 800 block of 7th St. NE for a report of damage to property. After speaking with the complainant, police determined a domestic incident had taken place. Zachary Smith, 23, was later located and arrested for domestic assault, damage to property and disorderly conduct.
Nov. 20; Staples Police assisted the Todd County Sheriff’s Dept. with a domestic in progress. Upon investigation, Kraig Goligowski, 39, was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault, 5th degree assault, disorderly conduct and obstructing legal process.
Nov. 14; Staples Police received a report of property damage to a vehicle parked at Dollar General. The reporting party stated their vehicle had been keyed while parked at the business, while they were inside shopping. The vehicle was reported to have received extensive damage.
Nov. 14; Staples Police responded to Central Lakes College for an alarm. When police arrived they located a subject on school property, who attends CLC and also works in the fitness center. The subject said that he fell asleep and was just leaving the building, setting off the alarms. Police watched security video with a key holder and confirmed the subject was being truthful.
