Recent reports into the Staples Police Dept.

Sept. 26; Staples Police took a report of several items being stolen from a vehicle near the 400 block of 2nd Ave. NE. 

Sept. 27; Staples Police assisted Todd County Child Protection with an alleged child maltreatment report. 

Sept. 30; Staples Police responded to a driving complaint of a vehicle squealing its tires. Police arrived on the scene and  the vehicle fled. Police pursued the vehicle until the vehicle stopped in the Burger King parking lot where the juvenile driver was arrested.

Oct. 1; Staples Police assisted the MN State Patrol on a welfare check of an passenger in a vehicle traveling on Hwy 10. The state patrol arrived on scene and through investigation,  the driver, Nicholas Johnson, 29, was arrested for 5th degree possession and a passenger was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 1; Staples Police arrested Bradley Beach of Staples for domestic assault.
