Public Notice TODD COUNTY Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) 

2020 RFP

 

Todd County is the recipient of County Program Aid grant funds for Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) prevention from the state of Minnesota as a result of 2014 Session Law Chapter 308. It is anticipated this will be an ongoing aid program, dependent on decisions by the Legislature.  The purpose of these funds is to “prevent the introduction or limit the spread of aquatic invasive species at all the access sites within the county” (MN Statutes 477A.19).

The purpose of this RFP is to facilitate the disbursement of these funds to parties interested in conducting work to facilitate this purpose.

Todd County is soliciting Local Government Units (LGU) and/or private businesses for proposals for the Todd County AIS Program in 2020. The details of this RFP can be found on the Todd County website:

TODD COUNTY SEPTIC SYSTEM REPLACEMENT INITIATIVE PROGRAM

 

The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency staff has reviewed the proposed Todd County Septic System Replacement Initiative Program project and has determined that the preparation of an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) is not mandatory. A preliminary determination has been made that no significant environmental impacts are anticipated.

The Todd County Septic System Replacement Initiative project has been awarded a loan under the Minnesota Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund and is, therefore, subject to the State environmental review process. Subsurface sewage treatment system upgrades or replacements within this project will be in accordance with Minn. R. ch. 7080, which provides the minimum standards and criteria for design, location, installation, use, and maintenance of subsurface sewage treatment systems.
