Nathan Thelen, Staples-Motley High School Choir Director, led the Chamber Choir in singing “Time After Time” at the school April 14. The choir was performing for a few spectators and well as judges during a contest event called, “Our Voice, Our Song.” The Chamber Choir received superior ratings, as did the A cappella and Concert Choirs. Arabella Moore, an eighth grader at Staples-Motley Middle School, was the second runner-up at the Virtual Regional Spelling Bee hosted by Sourcewell in Staples. She had previously taken first place at the District Spelling Bee, organized by Dawn Weite, teacher at Staples-Motley.
