Anderson will celebrate his 90th birthday Aug. 31.A number of family and class reunions took place throughout the recent Pillager Fair. Standing is Sharon (Berndt) Joslin, Pillager. Eleanor and Dorothy are cousins and both 1959 Pillager High School graduates. Sharon, another cousin, is a 1967 PHS grad. People of all ages lined the streets of downtown Pillager July 9, for the annual Pillager Parade held in conjunction with the fair. There were a number of parade entries, including classic cars, fire trucks, horses; and representation from area businesses, organizations and churches. Children enjoyed collecting candy thrown from floats.

Memories made at the Pillager Fair

Carly Smith of Staples (center) was a ribbon winner at the Pillager Fair Horse Show July 8. She is pictured with her parents, Motley Police Chief Ron Smith and Janet Smith, who were celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary that day; and her horse, Cajun.
