Motley Police Dept., MCSO reports
Recent reports from the Motley Police Department (MPD) and the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) included the following:
July 13 - The MCSO received a call from someone reporting several televisions and other items had been thrown in the ditch on 330th St. in Cushing.
July 12 - The MCSO received a complaint about animal cruelty and possible code violations of a kennel in Cushing. According to the report, this matter originates in Bemidji and the investigation should start there.
July 7 - The MPD responded to a call from Robert Jenkins of Motley regarding some flower seeds he had purchased from a seed company. Caller stated that the plants growing appeared to be marijuana. The plants were removed from the container.
July 9 - The MCSO arrested a 31-year-old Cushing man for domestic assault.
July 6 - The MPD issued a speeding citation to Nicole Keesling, 30; and to Patrice Reitmeier, 56, for passing a squad car on the left in the oncoming traffic lane and stopping to wait for a green light. Numerous vehicles were waiting to turn left off Hwy 10 to go eastbound on Hwy 210 in Motley. Driver stated she thought it was a double turn lane.
July 2 - The MPD received a report that a vehicle parked on 1st Ave. N. in Motley had been burglarized and that a one dollar bill was missing.
July 2 - The MPD received a report of a vehicle that was damaged on Front St. E. in Motley. Caller stated he was going to put gas in his vehicle and found burn marks on his gas tank. It appeared that some type of fireworks had been placed in his gas tank and lit on fire.
