Motley Police, Morrison County Sheriff’s reports
Recent reports from the Motley Police Department (MPD) and the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) included the following:
Nov. 15 - The MPD issued a speeding citation to Michael Scherschligt, 74.
Nov. 15 - The MPD received a report from the City of Motley’s public works supervisor that the passenger side of the city’s maintenance pickup truck was struck by a deer on Hwy 10.
Nov. 11 - The MPD issued a speeding citation to Alonzo Fricke, 22.
Nov. 10 - The MPD responded to a report of a man at the Ten-Hi bar in Motley who was acting strangely. Caller stated he thought the man might be armed with a gun. The officer located the subject and after speaking with him, was given consent to do a search, upon which he located a large hunting knife in the man’s jacket pocket. The knife was kept for safe keeping for the night and the man was ordered to leave and go home.
Nov. 10 - The MCSO received a request for assistance at a vehicle accident in Cass County. Motley Fire and Rescue was paged.
Nov. 10 - The MCSO reports that Mary Brichacek was transported from Clay County to Morrison County on an A and D (Arrest and Detain) order.
