What Was A Highlight Of 2015? 

Joining cross country.

What Is A New Experience You’d Like To Have In 2016? 

I would like to go cross country skiing.

What Is One Top Priority You Think A New President Should Have? 

Making peace with Iran and Syria.

What Was A Highlight Of 2015? 

I got my first buck deer hunting near Pillager. Got it on the first day.

What Is A New Experience You’d Like To Have In 2016? 

I want to join baseball.

What Is One Top Priority You Think A New President Should Have? 

They need to stay true to what they say during the campaign.

What Was A Highlight Of 2015? 

Being with my family.

What Is A New Experience You’d Like To Have In 2016? 

Going on a trip to somewhere like Hawaii.

What Is One Top Priority You Think A New President Should Have? 

Being kind.

Horseback riding with my family.

What Is A New Experience You’d Like To Have In 2016? 

Travel to another state. I’ve never been out of Minnesota.

What Is One Top Priority You Think A New President Should Have? 

Better school food.

What Was A Highlight Of 2015? 

Moving to Staples from Maplewood. Life is much calmer and simpler here.

What Is A New Experience You’d Like To Have In 2016? 

I’d like to go camping with my wife, Besa; and our two-and-a-half year old son, Jack.

What Is One Top Priority You Think A New President Should Have? 

Helping the country become more understanding of others. I think this would help produce less unhealthy conflict.

What Was A Highlight Of 2015? 

A field trip to Camp Shamineau.

What Is A New Experience You’d Like To Have In 2016? 

I’d like to go to the science museum (in St. Paul).

What Is One Top Priority You Think A New President Should Have? 

Let us pray to Jesus.

Molly Broberg, 9, student at MES. 

What Was A Highlight Of 2015? 

Going to Camp Ripley.

What Is A New Experience You’d Like To Have In 2016? 

I really want to go to horse camp at Camp Shamineau.

What Is One Top Priority You Think A New President Should Have? 

We need to have more rodeos.

Susie Brichacek, Browerville, owner at BRICKS in Motley. 

What Was A Highlight Of 2015? 

Traveling to Switzerland with my dad, Mike and sister, Sarah. I was able to see where my grandpa Peter Achermann grew up...where he went to church and school. It was great to spend time with our relatives living there.

What Is A New Experience You’d Like To Have In 2016? 

I’d like to travel with my husband, Joe, to a tropical destination.

What Is One Top Priority You Think A New President Should Have? 

Health care. It’s a real need for so many.

Cassandra Kronenberg, Motley. 

What Was A Highlight Of 2015? 

I got married to Mike in September; and the following week I went to the WSCA (Western Saddle Club Association) Champ Show in Minneapolis.

What Is A New Experience You’d Like To Have In 2016? 

I’d like to see Motley put in a water park. We have that new skate park for kids, which is great; but something with water would be awesome.

What Is One Top Priority You Think A New President Should Have? 

We need to take care of our immigration policies. We need to take care of our own people first before we help others. Our veterans need help; and there are many homeless people in our own country.

Diana Eisel, Motley. 

What Was A Highlight Of 2015? 

Getting better after my horse accident in 2014. It was a year of healing for me.

What Is A New Experience You’d Like To Have In 2016? 

Getting back on Prince, my horse. Then, I’m going to get a rose tattoo in honor of my granddaughter, Miranda Rose, who has cystic fibrosis. That’s on my bucket list. (Diana also mentioned that she and her husband, Gene, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversay May 13, 2016.)

What Is One Top Priority You Think A New President Should Have? 

Get the ISIS terrorists. Wipe them out. France is stepping in there, we should be able to as well.

Gene Eisel, Motley. 

What Was A Highlight Of 2015? 

Spending Christmas with my family. We have seven kids, 28 grandkids, 14 great-grandkids and some great-great grandkids. Most of them were able to be here.

What Is A New Experience You’d Like To Have In 2016? 

I’d like to get healthy so we can travel and visit our grandkids. I also hope we can sell our business (Motley Motel) so we’re not so tied down.

What Is One Top Priority You Think A New President Should Have? 

They need to quit taking social security away from us. It’s getting harder to make ends meet.
