The impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences can increase negative outcomes for lifelong health and wellbeing. This film focuses on strategies developed by professionals working in pediatrics, education and human services to mitigate these impacts by changing the way professionals and systems respond to children and adults who have experienced trauma.

Following the film attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion about local efforts to bring trauma informed practice to systems in Todd County and in Minnesota.

“Resilience” is the follow up movie to “Paper Tigers”, a documentary about how trauma informed practice transformed an alternative high school in Walla Walla Washington.
