Irrigation clinic set for Jan. 26
The Central Minnesota Irrigator’s Corporation (CMIC) will hold an Irrigation Clinic Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Prairie Event Center in Parkers Prairie.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the program starting at 9:15 a.m. and concluding by 1 p.m. This is followed by the CMIC Annual Meeting and door prizes.
New members are welcome to join the CMIC at the clinic. To become a CMIC member the fee is $30 which includes the lunch, newsletters to keep you up to date on the issues and the opportunity to be part of a unified irrigator voice. Exhibitor booths will be available.
The Irrigation Clinic Educational Program will include:
o Technology Applications in Agriculture: Jeremy Drewitz, CHS Yield Point Technology Specialist.
o Marketing Commodities in Today Economic Environment: Rob Fronning, AgCountry VP of Insurance & Commodity Marketing Education.
o Updates on Water Permit Process: Daniel Whitney, P.G. Principal Hydrogeologist, Northwest AqwaTek Solutions.
o Nitrogen Management on Irrigated Soils: Dr. Fabian Hernandez, U of M Nutrient Management Specialist.
Agenda items at the Central Minnesota Irrigator’s Corporation (CMIC) 48th annual meeting include:
o Irrigation Issues and Your Irrigation Associations.
o Alan Peterson, IAM President.
o Resolutions and election of new board members and IAM directors.
