Minnesota author to be at Wadena Historical Society
The Wadena County Historical Society will host a book signing for writer Colin Mustful on Thursday, July 28, from noon to 1 p.m. as part of a new ‘Minnesota Voices’ program series.
Author and historian Colin Mustful has written three novels that depict the people and places of Minnesota’s complicated frontier history. The author’s newest novel, “Ceding Contempt”, follows artist Frank Blackwell Mayer as he witnesses the signing of the Treaty of the Traverse des Sioux, a watershed moment in Minnesota history.
‘Minnesota Voices’ is a collaborative program between the Wadena County Historical Society and An Open Book, an independent bookstore in Wadena that features book signings and interviews with Minnesota writers.
The July 28 program will be held at the Wadena County Historical Society, 603 Jefferson Street North. Bring a lunch or just come for coffee.
