January birthday celebrations

The Staples Senior Citizen’s Birthday party was held, January 10, in the Senior Citizen’s room at the Staples Community Center. The six members celebrating their birthdays included, front, left to right: Carol Olsen, Rita Stone and Annette Crocker; back: Jeanie Huebner, Opal Oldenburg, and Rose Hoemberg. Each birthday gal received a small cake, birthday card and everyone sang Happy Birthday. There was a short program, a delicious meal, drawings for several prizes to go a long with the celebration. The February Birthday/Anniversary party will be held on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14 at 11:30 a.m. To register; call 218-894-2556.
