The 2017 float, above, promoted and celebrated 100 years of The Rotary Foundation. The foundation empowers Rotarians to travel throughout the world and create and complete projects which serve people in need, in the six areas of focus which are: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education and growing local economies. The colorful dragon was a world traveler carrying luggage decorated with the six symbols of the areas of focus.

The float below depicts the 1.4 million Lions in 210 countries and geographic areas serving the world in humanitarian efforts, which make a positive impact on many lives through vision screenings, feeding the hungry, serving youth and many environmental projects.
