New postmaster invites public to stop in, say ‘Hi!’

The new postmaster at the Staples Post Office, Brenda Kuklok, said she would like to have people come in to meet her as she is settling in to her new position.

Kuklok started in August. “It’s been fun, and exhilirating at times, this is a good bunch of people to work with,” she said.

Kuklok has been with the postal service for 21 years. Most recently she was at the Merrifield Post Office, north of Brainerd. She has worked in post offices in Wisconsin and South Dakota in the past as well.

“I’ve travelled a little,” Kuklok said about her career.

But as a native of Central Minnesota who still has family in the Little Falls area, she said she’s wanted to get back to this area to be closer to family.

In her first weeks at Staples, Kuklok said she’s been concentrating on familiarizing herself with the local addresses and learning the special needs of the community. “There is a big business base here,” she said.

Kuklok said she is hoping for a smooth transition in her new position. “We want a good operation with great customer service,” she said.
