Barn quilts, children’s art during RR Days
Two different art opportunities have been scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 23, as part of the Railroad Days celebration.
A barn quilt class is being held at the Landmark Inn at noon and the Tiny School of Art & Design will be at the Music in the Park concert, featuring the Red Letter Band.
The barn quilt class is being put on by the Bittersweet Barn Quilt Company. Attendees will be able to walk away with their own barn quilt. There is a cost for attending the class and purchasing materials. The class starts at noon on Sunday.
The Tiny School of Art & Design is a traveling art studio that will pop up at Northern Pacific Park on Sunday, Aug. 23, just before the time of the Music in the Park concert, which starts at 2 p.m. The art-making would continue through the concert. This event is for children of all ages.
From their web site, “The Tiny School of Art & Design brings creative joy to your community with quality art materials, tools, and expert guidance. Come experiment, create, and express.”
Both events are being planned by the Staples Motley Area Arts Council.
