Deer hits motorcycle July 29

On Friday, July 29, at 9:56 p.m., a Wadena County Sheriff’s Deputy came upon a motorcycle vs deer accident. The motorcycle was traveling north in the area of County Road 4 and County Road 23, when a deer hit the motorcycle on the right side.
The driver of the motorcycle was able to keep it up right and stop on the west side of County Road 23. The passenger of the motorcycle sustained a compound fracture of the ankle and was transported by ambulance to Lakewood Health System Hospital.
The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Verndale Fire Department, Tri-County Ambulance and the Verndale Police Department.
