The photo below shows the Staples-Motley Elementary dropoff area at the west (back) side of the building for students who are driven to school, where they can enter the same door that’s also used by students coming in from the playground. The door is staffed before and after school to help students get where they need to go

Kids figure out how to use the transfer station

There were a few questions about which bus to take, but Motley-Staples Middle School students figured out how to get to Motley for the first day of school on Sept. 6.

With the Re-Start alignment starting this year, all Staples-Motley School District students in grades K-3 are in Staples, 4-7 in Motley and 8-12 in Staples.

Staples-Motley Elementary School is the transfer station for middle school students getting off of buses or getting dropped off. Some of the buses had two different numbers so kids from multiple buses could get on the right one.

Despite the big crowd, the transfer station was clear and students were on their way to Motley by 8:05 a.m. (Staples World photos by Mark Anderson)
