National FFA officers invited
In just a few hours at Staples Motley High School, National FFA President Taylor McNeel of Arkansas discovered some things that impressed her about the Staples Motley FFA chapter.
“This chapter is amazing. When we got here, there was a big banner with the chapter officers were waiting at the office to welcome us,” said McNeel.
After spending time working on leadership workshops with local FFA and members of the Deer River FFA, McNeel said “they have a strong team here, they love doing career development events.”
But her favorite part of the trip was when the national officers presented new FFA jackets to five students who were receiving their first jacket.
“To see their smiles light up when they got their iconic blue jacket, that was the highlight of the day,” said McNeel.
The national officers also spent time withindividual FFA members and concluded their visit with a keynote address by Abrah Meyer, Central Region Vice President from Iowa.
