Police respond to domestic issues
On July 17 the Staples Police arrested Chad Garrow, 33, Staples, for domestic assault and disorderly conduct. He was transported to the Wadena County Jail.
On July 16 police received a report of a financial crime at two businesses on 2nd Ave. NE and 2nd Ave. NW.
On July 15 police received a report of a suspicious person looking in and walking around vehicles at Spot Café. Police checked the area and were unable to locate the subject.
On July 14 police responded to the 400 block of 5th St. NE to assist a Todd County Deputy with two individuals who ran on foot. Police cited two juveniles for curfew violation.
On July 13 SPD responded to a verbal domestic on the 300 block of 2nd Street NE. One party was in the process of moving out of the residence and the other party was about to leave for work. No physical altercation occurred.
On July 12 SPD responded to the 100 block of 6th St. SE for a report of damage to property. The reporting party said the door to the business had been damaged by someone attempting to break in. The incident is under investigation.
On July 12 police responded to Lefty’s for a report of a hit and run property damage accident. SPD located the party that left and learned he was unaware he had hit any vehicle. Both parties were given an accident exchange form.
On July 12 police received a report of a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order (DANCO) violation. Jason Graf, 43, was arrested for the offense.
On July 11 SPD arrested Ronald Lade, 64, on a Wadena County warrant.
On July 11 police received information regarding a theft from Scott’s Southtown. The theft is connected to a 2015 theft case involving David Watson, a former NAPA employee.
On July 12 SPD assisted the State Patrol with a two vehicle accident on Hwy. 10 east of 285th Ave.
On July 11 police responded to a domestic issue in the 400 block of 7th St. NE.
