Robotics at Staples-Motley Elementary School
Staples-Motley Elementary students were under tables trying to get a better angle at controlling their robots, as part of the hands-on Technology Mobile day, held Sept. 12. Students at the Motley-Staples Middle School had their turn Tuesday, Sept. 13. The elementary students were able to try out wheeled robots, square robots, ball robots and moving arms robots, and using them for obstacle courses, makeing art, turning on lights and do commands.
Students standing at the table are, from left, Caidon Pfaff, Adrian Caldwell and Atreyu Eagletail. Students under table not identified.
The Technology Mobile program started with funding from National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA), Staples and coordinated with Central Lakes College and M-State. The robotics program will be shared with eight schools in the region. Later in the year, students will have similar technology days with electrical and transportation.
