Clarence and Mary Horsager of Verndale enjoyed spending time at The History & Heritage Center at the Minnesota State Fair Sept. 2. A number of exhibits were on display, showcasing the variety of events which have taken place at the fair for over a century and a half. The Horsagers said the fair has been an important part of their family. “Our kids were always in 4-H, so they would often be here for that; and I have been a judge for different events,” Mary said. “We have many great state fair memories.” (StaThe Jeziorski family of Cushing have made it an annual tradition to attend the Minnesota State Fair together. Jaci recently graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead; and Lauren is a nurse at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. “We always come to the fair to celebrate Lauren’s birthday, which is Aug. 30,” Michelle said, adding that she went into lSeveral members of the Staples Motley FFA (Future Farmers of America) club participated at the 2016 Minnesota State Fair.
