Staples Police report vandalism
Recent reports taken by the Staples Police;
Aug. 9 - Staples Police responded to an animal complaint on the 500 block of 8th St. NE. A dog had tangled its leash tangled in a fence and was sitting in the sun. Police attempted to make contact with the dog’s owner but were unable. Police untangled the dogs leash and gave it some fresh water.
Aug. 10 - Staples Police responded to the 500 block of 8th St. NE for a resident who’s cement deer sculpture had been moved to the middle of the street. Police moved the deer back to the owner’s yard.
Aug. 10 - Staples Police assisted Wadena County in searching for a suicidal individual. Police located the subject at the Burger King parking lot along with the subject’s mother, brother and boyfriend. The individual was taken to Tri-County Hospital in Wadena for an evaluation.
Aug. 13 - Staples Police responded to a domestic on the 400 block of 5th St.SE. Upon investigation police arrested Heather Hoggatt, 28, of Staples, for domestic assault and disorderly conduct.
