____________________AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.11 (LAND USE MATRIX) OF THE MOTLEY LAND USE AND SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on April 20th, 2026, the City Council of the City of Motley adopted Ordinance No. 2026-03.
This publication is a summary of the ordinance. The ordinance amends Section 5.11 (Land Use Matrix) of the Motley Land Use and Subdivision Ordinance to change the classification of Solar Energy Systems and Structures, Individual in the Public Use (PU) zoning district from Excluded (E) to Permitted (P).
The purpose of this amendment is to allow the installation of individual solar energy systems on public property and to support sustainable energy use within the City.
A printed copy of the full ordinance is available for inspection by any person during regular office hours at Motley City Hall. A copy of the ordinance may also be provided upon request.
