Linette Horn

Linette Renee Horn, 57, went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2026.

A celebration of life will be held May 16, at Alliance Church of the Valley in St. Croix Falls, WI. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by services at 11:00 a.m., with fellowship following. In honor of Linette’s bright and joyful spirit, floral or spring-colored attire is encouraged.

Born in Faribault in 1968, Linette was the fourth child of Duane and Martha Johnson. She graduated from Motley High School in 1987. Soon after, she met the love of her life, Thomas Horn, while they were both working at El-Ray Cafe in Motley. They were married on September 8, 1990, at Faith Lutheran Church, Staples. The couple moved to Wisconsin, where Linette devoted herself to building a home as a wife and mother, a role she cherished deeply. She also ran her own cleaning business for over 30 years, caring for the homes of others with the same love and attention she gave her own.

Linette had a deep love for the Lord and lived out her faith through consistent acts of service. She never missed an opportunity to brighten someone’s day, often with a homemade dessert or a simple act of kindness. Whether serving children in Awana, brewing coffee, or baking cookies for someone struggling, Linette was there to meet a need - always with a bright smile and a willing heart. She was a faithful presence at Bible study and treasured the friendships she built through church and community.

Wherever Linette was, Tom was never far away. Together they shared a love for traveling, going on cruises, visiting their grandchildren, camping along the North Shore and biking, almost always finding a good ice cream shop along the way.

She will be remembered for her enthusiasm for the Lord, her generosity, infectious laugh, playful spirit, love for making people smile and her servant heart.

Linette is survived by her husband, Thomas Horn; three sons, Zachary (Paige), Daniel (Brooke) and Noah (Erin); two brothers, Lyndon (Linda) Johnson and Lyle (Lori) Johnson; one sister, Aletha Flickinger; five grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Barbara Horn; one brother, William “Billy” Johnson and one brother-in-law, LeRoy Flickinger.
