Carol (Norberg) Peterson

Carol Ann Petersen, “Zaz,” 51, of Nisswa, passed away with her family at her side on December 26, 2016 at Essentia-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, Nisswa. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. 

Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Brainerd.

Carol Ann was born November 8, 1965, in Browerville, to Russell and Gwen Norberg. She graduated from Staples High School in 1984 and studied at Augustana University.

Carol Ann cherished her loved ones and made anyone she was with feel special, as well as the countless close friends in her online community. She battled cancer with humor and grace (and colorful, mismatched socks), lifted daily by her strong faith in God and the love of family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Bryan; one son, Isaiah and one daughter, Janae; parents; brother, Jon Norberg; mother-in-law and father in-law, Rich and Carolyn Petersen; sister in-law, Brenda Bull; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
