Alta Evanson

Alta Mae Evanson, 75, passed away March 24, 2019, at her home in Shoreview.

Memorial services were held March 30 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Moundsview with Rev. Rich Steensma officiating.

Interment was at Messiah Lutheran Church Columbarium.

Alta was born March 29, 1943 in Motley to Peter and Christena (Johnson) Sampson. 

She married Oral Evanson. Alta provided in-home daycare for 40 years to hundreds of children.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Laurie) Evanson and William (Nicole) Evanson; one daughter Kristen Evanson (Jennifer Munson); two brothers, Gordon (Yvonne) Sampson and Richard Sampson; one sister Ila (Alvin) Moga and  six grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Rose Anderson and June McElroy.

Memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, Preschool Program

Arrangements were by  Roseville Memorial Chapel.
