Archie Hosner

Archie Hosner, 82, of Brainerd, passed away   June 6, 2021, at Essentia Health - St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Brainerd.  

A Celebration of Life was held June 9, at Nelson  - Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with Pastor Steve Benson officiating.

Interment was at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Archie LeRoy Hosner was born October 6, 1938, in Verndale, to Earl and Mary (Simms) Hosner. He grew up in Verndale and attended Verndale High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1960 and was stationed in Hawaii.  Arched was united in marriage to Dorothy Truesdell on May 15, 1979, in Brainerd.

Archie retired from the Crow Wing County Highway Department in 2003 as Senior Building Maintenance Technician. He enjoyed woodworking and built the couples home as well as most of their furniture.  

Archie is survived by his wife of 42 wonderful years, Dorothy; one sister, Irene Kastanek; one sister-in-law, Wanetta Truesdell; one brother-in-law, Jack Truesdell; four children from his previous marriage, Darlys, Deanna, Darlene and Michael and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers-in-law, Robert Kastanek, Bill Truesdell, Emmett Truesdell and Kenneth Truesdell and three sisters-in-law, Beth Sellnow, Gloria Truesdell and Joan Truesdell.
