Austin Bacon
Austin David Bacon, 19, of Nimrod, passed away Dec. 6, 2018, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 15 at the United Methodist Church in Sebeka. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow the service at Montrose Cemetery in Bullard Township.
Arrangements are with the Taylor Funeral Home in Staples.
Austin was born August 6, 1999 to Cory and Kim Bacon in Wadena. He attended Sebeka Schools where he played basketball, baseball and football through his elementary years. He found his true passion for wrestling during high school and achieved over 100 varsity wins. Austin enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, dirt biking and being on the Crow Wing River. He was mechanical, enjoyed animals and especially loved his family and friends.
Austin is survived by his father, Cory Bacon of Nimrod; mother, Kim (Dawn) Bacon of Motley; one brother, Tanner Bacon of Motley; paternal grandmother, Karen Johnson; maternal grandmother, Pat Drury; aunts and uncles, Cindy Anderson, Craig (Carol) Weigel, Bill (Stacey) Drury, Becky (Mike) Harrison, Steph Drury, Dave Drury, Angela (Ryan) Roiko; cousins, Lettie, Lisa, Lyndsey, Taylor, Gavin, Melanie, Tim, Karly, Taylor, Dean, Dylan, Alex, Jade, Cortney and Rilee; girlfriend, Aleecia; puppy, Roxy.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers, Ronald Bacon and Don Johnson; maternal grandfather, David Drury; and one uncle, Mike Anderson.
