Barbara (Barb) Wickham, 68, of Fosston, passed away February 9, 2018 at home with her family by her side.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fosston with Father JohnMelkies Suvakeen and Father Dave Super celebrating. Visitation will be held Friday Feb. 16, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church and again one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are with the Carlin Funeral Home of Fosston.
Barbara Jo Worshek was born Feb. 23, 1949, to George and Betty Worshek, in Jackson. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Jackson. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1967 and attended the Minneapolis School of Business.
Barb married Erv Wickhan on April 17, 1971, in Jackson. They made their home in Merrifield and moved to Staples in 1978 where Barb operated a daycare. In 1986 they moved to Fosston where Barb worked at Wille’s Pharmacy and Provider’s Choice.
Barb was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church serving on several committees and was fondly known as the “funeral lady”, coordinating the meals for after funerals services held at church. She enjoyed volunteering at the Embassy, First Care Nursing Home and Meals on Wheels.
Barb is survived by her husband of 46 years; one daughter, Tamie (Todd) Rue and one son, Matt (Chantel) Wickham both of Fosston; three grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; five brothers, Jim (Connie) Worshek of Prior Lake, Donny Worshek of Parker, AZ, Bob Worshek of Luverne, Mark Worshek of Fosston and Brad Worshek of Le Sueur and one sister, Nancy Worshek of Robbinsdale.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Bev Worshek.
