Bethel Brichacek
Bethel Brichacek, 95, of Browerville passed away January 15, 2026 at Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa.
Memorial services were held January 23 at Christ The King Catholic Church, Browerville.
Burial was at the church cemetery.
Bethel Marie Shannon was born to Edgar and Mary Shannon at home on Christmas Day, 1930 in Leader. She had four older brothers, Orville, Walter, Vern and David.
She attended country school in Leader and graduated from Motley High School in 1947. She attended Teachers Training in Staples and taught in various country schools in Todd County.
Bethel married George Brichacek on June 9, 1949, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Motley. To this union six children were born: Bradley, Rickey, Kerry, Kristi, Lonnie and Kimberly.
Bethel enjoyed playing Tripoli, sewing, embroidery and baking homemade Long Johns which were a family favorite. She was a member of the Todd County Homemakers, Moran Mixers and served on the council at the Colonial Terrace in Clarissa. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville.
Bethel is survived by one son, Rickey (Marilyn); three daughters, Kerry (Denny Finn), Kristi (Ken) Biermaier and Kimberly (Ken) Wuollet; one daughter-in-law, Patricia; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George of 69 years and two sons, Bradley and Lonnie.
