Bob Kastanek

Bob Kastanek of Browerville went to heaven to rejoice with family and friends on Thursday, August 29, 2019 passing away at his home unexpectedly.

Bob was born in Motley, on October 16, 1931 to Edward and Anna (Tichy) Kastanek. He grew up on a farm outside of Motley. Bob married Irene Hosner on August 28, 1954. He worked in the creamery and the ink plant until he retired in 1988. Bob loved mechanic work, hunting, fishing and camping. Spending time with his family was the most important of all.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 65 years; two daughters, Shirley (Pat) Stancek of Lake Elmo and Debbie Kastanek of Hibbing; one son, Marvin (Shelly) Kastanek of Staples; brother, Arnie (Ramona) Kastanek of Fridley, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Anna; siblings, Blanche, Rudy and George.
