Bruce Peterson

Bruce Leroy Peterson, 61, of Westminster, CO, and formerly of Staples, died July 5, 2017, at Farmington.

Memorial services will be held Friday, September 29 at 4:00 p.m. at Sunshine Valley Gardens, Piedmont, SD.

Bruce was born August 25, 1955 at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA to Orin Leroy and Gayle (Sommors) Peterson. He grew up in Staples and was a 1973 SHS graduate. He married Dawn Mack on Aug. 3, 1977. They lived in Richmond, VA in 1977 where Bruce worked for Fox Photo for nine years. The family moved to Minnesota where Bruce worked for Fuji Film for 33 years. He enjoyed many activities before and after he retired including hunting, fishing, camping, riding motorcycle, BBQing, cigars and hanging with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Shawn (Melissa) Peterson of Arvada, CO; one granddaughter, Isabella; one brother, Mitch (Wendy) Peterson of Lakeville; other relatives and friends.
