Carol Preisinger
Carol M. Preisinger, 67, of New York City, New York, passed away on February 11, 2017 after her battle with breast cancer.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held Friday, May 19, at 2 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel, Staples.
Carol was born on February 24, 1949 in New Ulm to Arnold and Loretta Windschitl. She grew up on a farm near Stewart. She was salutatorian of her high school class and went on to study at the University of Minnesota. Carol moved to New York City and attended graduate school at Columbia University. Carol changed careers and went into banking. She retired as managing director of credit risk management at BNP Paribus. She was the vice chair of the New Jersey City Development Fund Board of Directors where she endowed a generous scholarship fund. Carol enjoyed gardening, baking and was a part of a group of friends from Columbia University who’ve been celebrating Thanksgiving together for over 40 years.
Carol is survived by her mother, Loretta Windschitl; eight brothers, Gary Windschitl, Ralph Windschitl and Leo (Cyndi) Windschitl all of Motley, Tony Windschitl of Menahga, Bob Windschitl of Marble, Paul (Beth) Windschitl of Sioux Falls, SD, Tom Windschitl of Fridley and Roger (Rebecca) Windschitl of Columbia, MD; two sisters, Joan (Tim) Arango of Knoxville, TN and Rita Miller of Baxter and 24 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold and one brother, Jim Windschitl. w19c A00006B2017MY11
