Caroline Kemp
Caroline “Karrie” Ann Kemp, 62, of Staples passed away April 6, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loved ones following a lengthy battle with COPD.
Memorial services will be held April 22 at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 430 12th St. NE, Staples. Snacks and beverages will follow.
Karrie was born February 10, 1955 to Marvin and Esther Kemp in Martinez, California. Karrie lived most of her life in Staples and spent 15 more years in Jackson, CA. Karrie will be most remembered by her outgoing, hilarious and kind hearted personality. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening and all things outdoors. She was creative, enjoyed painting, crafts, sewing, writing poetry, songs, was a singer and guitar player. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Karrie is survived by three daughters, Holly (Emil) Sandman and Melissa (Amadeo) Casazza both of Ione, CA and Lizzy Juergens of Staples; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara (Larry) Kepner of Sutter Creek, CA and Rosemary (Buck) Peterson of Staples; two brothers, Marv (Kim) Kemp of Bluffton and Clifford (Becky) Kemp of Albertville as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Juergens, Jr., parents; one brother, Elmer Kemp; two sisters, Judy Spandl and Christine Marsh and one nephew, Gabriel Kemp.
