Cheri Morrow-McKinnon

Cheri Lynn (Timbs) Morrow-McKinnon, 67, of Birmingham, AL, passed away May 8, 2023, in Birmingham.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Birmingham.

Cheri was born July 9, 1955, in Knoxville, TN, to Clyde and Gerri Timbs. After graduating from high school, Cheri enjoyed a stint in the Nashville music scene, scoring three chart hits in the record business. Deciding that was not for her, she moved to Long Beach, CA, where she worked as a marine telephone operator for a few years. Although she loved the West Coast, Cheri was a Southern girl at heart, and relocated to Alabama, where she enjoyed a successful career in auto sales and the mortgage banking business.

She is survived by one  son, Jon (Cheri) Morrow, Birmingham; beloved longtime care-giver and dearest friend, Carol McKinnon, Birmingham; four brothers Gary (Dawn) Timbs, Staples, Larry (Karin) Timbs, Cody, WY, Clyde, Jr. (Sherry) Timbs, Knoxville, Jeff (Stacy) Timbs, Knoxville; several nieces and nephews including Matthew Timbs, Birmingham and beloved dogs, Josie and Fifi.

Cheri was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tony Morrow and grandmother, ‘Little Mama.’

God graciously gave us 67 years with our “little sis” whom we loved and cherished. Now she’s home with Jesus.
