Chris Dickey
Chris Dickey, 60, of Motley, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial was held March 4 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples with Father Gabriel Walz officiating.
Chris was born April 8, 1958 in Loretto to Eugene and Jeanette (Kern) Dickey. He graduated from Wadena High School in 1976. Chris was a self-employed truck driver and contracted with Tony’s Transfer in Wadena. He enjoyed fishing, grouse hunting and was an artist. Chris had a great sense of humor and a big heart. He was an “unknown”, but known to us, artist. He loved nature and all God’s creation. Chris was working hard to retire, driving coast to coast. He had a great love for Jesus and the Bible.
Chris is survived by his siblings, Michele (Donald) Ziegler of Staples, Chad (Kathy) Dickey of Wadena, Paul (Dawn) Dickey of Nowthen, Marlise (Glen) James of North Port, FL, Lolita (Mike) Simpson of Eagle River, AK, Robert (Wendy) Dickey of Big Lake, Chuck Dickey of Eagle Bend. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews that dearly loved their Uncle Chris.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene William Dickey; sisters, Charlene Ellette (Dickey) York, Marla Mae Majella Dickey. Remember our brother, Chris, through rosaries and masses.
Services have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel.
