Corinne Adamietz
Corinne “Queenie” Palava Adamietz, 82, of Motley, passed away August 15, 2016.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 18, at noon at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Motley with Fr. Joe Korf officiating.
Burial will be at St. Isidore’s Catholic Cemetery, Moran Township, Todd County.
Arrangements are with the Iten Funeral Home, Browerville.
Corinne Leona Palava was born July 4, 1934, to John and Mabel (Kliem) Palava in rural Browerville. She attended country school and graduated from Staples High School. Corinne married Romaine Adamietz on October 2, 1952, residing in Todd and Morrison counties. Corinne was a seamstress and an employee of the Staples School District, retiring in 1995.
She enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing cards and socializing with friends. She volunteered at Staples Centennial Auditorium and the Staples Food Shelf. She was an active member of St. Isidore’s Church in Moran Township until it closed in 2008. She participated for 40 years in the music ministry at St. Isidore’s Church. Corinne was a member of St. Michael’s Church and St. Ann’s Circle.
Corinne is survived by two sons, Charles (Ellen) Adamietz of Bloomington and Gregory (Kathy) Adamietz of Moorhead; one daughter, Patricia (Pete) Canovai of Timberlake, NC; one granddaughter; one sister, Darlene and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and one brother, Jack Palava.
