David Lundstrom

David Milton Lundstrom, 60, of Wadena, formerly of the Pillager/Brainerd area, passed away February 24, 2017, at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena, after a hard-fought, 18 month battle with cancer.

David’s Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, February 28, at 11 AM, at the Family Life Church in Verndale.  Visitation will be Monday, February 27, from 5-7 PM, also at the church in Verndale.

Arrangments were by Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples.

Dave was born on July 24, 1956 in Rochester, New York, to Richard and Joan Lundstrom. He graduated from Floodwood High School in 1974. He moved to Duluth and then to the Twin Cities, where he met his wife, Janice Theel, while attending North Central Bible College. Dave and Jan were married on December 29, 1979. Dave was a minister for ten years, pastoring in Menahga, Walker and Pillager (Casino Assembly of God). Following his pastoral call, he and Jan went into the bakery business in Brainerd. They moved to Wadena, where he worked for Abby’s Bakery and then for Lund/Crestliner. Dave loved his family and adored his granddaughters. 

Dave is survived by his wife of 37 years; two sons, Jonathan (Tabitha), of Bemidji and Charlie (fiancé Emma) of Moorhead; two granddaughters; his mother, Joan Lundstrom, of Park Rapids; one sister, Jeanne (Jon) Nauman, of Ramsey; two brothers, Tim (Laurie) of Fargo, ND and Dan (Linda), of Cottage Grove; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2013; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
