Donald Hanson

Donald M. Hanson, age 91, of Staples passed away on February 3, 2019 at this home in Staples.

He was born November 12, 1927 to Cecila (Eckes) and Henry Hanson in Moose Lake Township, Minnesota.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Rick; infant daughter, Patricia; granddaughter, Emmi and sister, Dorothy.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, June; children, Jeanne (Steve) Dailey of Oylen, Charlie Hanson of Rapid City, SD, Peggy (John) Sirucek of Leader, Glenda (Gary) Dauer of Leader, John (Sandra) Hanson of Absarokee, MT, Connie (Kenny) Winter of Verndale, Dale Hanson of Motley, Leasha (Bryan) Nyland of Leader, Larry (Laura) Hanson of Motley; daughter-in-law, Donna Hanson of Leader; also many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Herbie (Elsie) Hanson of Motley; sister, Carolyn Sankey of Bloomington.

Funeral services for Don will be held at 11:00 a.m  on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Motley Free Methodist Church in Motley with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home in Staples and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
