Donald Westling

Donald (Don) E. Westling, 91, passed away peacefully December 1, 2021, at Hawley Senior Living in Hawley.

A private service will be held at the Motley Cemetery this spring.

Donald was born January 10, 1930 in St. Maries, Idaho. The family moved to Minnesota when he was 7-years-old. Don served in the U.S. Air Force, sold Northrup King seeds in the southern U.S., logged in Idaho and farmed in Minnesota but is mostly known for carpentry, remodeling and construction. He loved his family, animals, nature, music and reading.

Don is survived by five children: four daughters, Darin (Mark) Henze, Ellen (Paul) Diederich, June Brezgis and Lisa (Sam) Duerksen and one stepson, Christopher (Dallas) Utz; eight grandchildren; four  great-grandchildren and one sister, June (Jay) Keiser. 

Don is preceded in death by his wife, Lois; one sister, Janet Kim and one son-in-law, Mark Brezgis.
