Doris Peterson

Doris Peterson, 86, of Aldrich, passed away June 9, 2018, at the Lakewood Health System Care Center, Staples.

Private graveside memorial services will be held at a later date at the Minnesota Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. 

Arrangements were with the Schuller Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Wadena.

Doris was born on April 27, 1932, in Minneapolis to John and Martha (Haldiman) Friedli. She graduated from Staples High School in 1950. Doris worked at Honeywell in Minneapolis for 10 years. 

Doris marriged Burton Peterson in June of 1962, in Brainerd. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Aldrich, where the couple owned the Aldrich Cheese Mart for 32 years, retiring in 1993. Doris was a member of the First Congregational Church in Aldrich. She enjoyed being out in nature -  trees, flowers and birds. Most of all, she enjoyed time with her grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by two grandsons, Kevin Genosky of Cold Spring and Justin Genosky of Aldrich and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one  son, Michael Genosky; parents; one brother, John Friedli and one sister, Marian Sinz.
