Douglas Noska
Douglas “Doug” Elmer Noska, 67, of Browerville died January 24, 2018, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center hospital after a courageous battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer.
Funeral services were held Jan. 27, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Fr. Mitchell Bechtold officiating.
Interment was at St. Isidore’s Catholic Cemetery, Moran Township.
Arrangements were with the Iten Funeral Home, Browerville.
Doug was born February 5, 1950 in Bertha to Elmer and Dolores (Adamietz) Noska. He graduated from Staples High School in 1968, attended Southwest State college in Marshall, graduating with a degree in Microbiology. He married Virginia Biermaier on October 23, 1976. They owned and operated Noska Plumbing and Heating for 36 years. Doug retired in 2017.
Doug enjoyed nature, spending time outdoors and remodeling homes with his wife as a hobby. He embraced time with his family whenever possible.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Craig (Rachael) Noska and Grant (Kayla) Noska; two daughters, Carlee (Dan) Liggett and Amanda (Kim) Noska; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Carol (Bob) Winkler of Clarissa, Vicki (Tom) Larson of Bertha, Pam (Paul) Reese of Fertile and Elizabeth (Paul) Kortie of Cloquet; four brothers, John (Judy) Noska of Browerville, Roger Noska of Staples, Randy (Ann) Noska of Browerville and Mathew Michels of Browerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Linda (John) Michels.
